Niti Aayog report- Healthy States- Kerala tops; Uttar Pradesh worst

New Delhi, Feb 09: Niti Aayog released comprehensive health index which showcased performance of 21 states based on Healthy States, Progressive India.

The report was released on Friday by Niti Aayog officials, health ministry and World Bank.

Kerala, Punjab and Tamil Nadu occupied top three positions but Uttar Pradesh was the worst among 21 states.

The think tank's CEO Amitabh Kant said they will also announce a ranking of India's 730 district hospitals in June.

"We want to reward the performers and name and shame those who are not performing," he added.
