Rahul Gandhi visited President with 113 MPs- demanded probe in Loya case

New Delhi, Feb 09: Congress and other opposition leaders have demanded Supreme Court monitored investigation in Justice Loya death case. To make sure that their demand is met Congress president Rahul Gandhi led a delegation consisting of 114 opposition MPs to President Ram Nath Kovind.

The delegation demanded a probe must be done by Special investigation team which should not have any officer from CBI or NIA.

"114 MPs from 15 parties signed memorandum. The President gave us a positive response. Many MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha felt discomfort over it and also feel that the matter should be probed and a SIT (special investigation team) should be formed," Congress president Rahul Gandhi said after leading the delegation to the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
