Amitabh Bachchan admitted to Lilavati Hospital

New Delhi, Feb 09: After returning from the shoot of 'Thugs Of Hindostan' Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital Bandra on Friday.

Doctors said the cause of his admission was gastrointestinal complications, but it was routine of nature.

"He was admitted at around 6.30pm and is under the care of noted gastroenterologist Dr Jayant Barve," said officials from the hospital. Bachchan had apparently visited the hospital for a routine check-up but since they had to administer an intravenous injection he was advised to be admitted.
