Rs.3975 CR allotted for revenue deficit

New Delhi Feb 9: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has once again responded on the issue of Andhra Pradesh in Rajyasabha.The FM has responded while replying to the budget discussion.

Jaitley has said that "Government had agreed to give a special package for Andra Pradesh for 5 years earlier it was supposed to be funded by EAP but the state government had suggested an alternative and the discussions on the alternative mechanism have reached advanced stage and a decision in this regard would be taken at the earliest".

He added that "RS 3975.50 CR has been given to AP for revenue deficit for 2014-15 and more funds would be created".

Jaitley has added that "A decision regarding the remaining demands such as setting up of port, Steel plant in Kadapa. petro chemical complex, vizag -Chennai industrial corridor would be expedited by the various departments".
