SC fixes Ayodhya case to March 14,says its a land dispute

New Delhi Feb 9 : The SC on Thursday has heard the Babri Masjid, Ayodhya Temple case and fixed the next date of hearing on March 14 . The court has said that "the issue would treated as only land dispute based on evidence submitted to the court".

The court had also refused for day to day hearing and the case would be heard similar to other cases. The Bench headed by CJI Deepak Misra has said that "Whatever be the case, it is after all a land dispute. There are appeals and cross-appeals (against the Allahabad HC judgment on title suits) from both sides. We will decide it as a land dispute taking into account the evidence on record and after hearing both sides."


The court had also urged the petitioners to submit the English transalations of 'Ramayan ' written by Valmiki before the next hearing takes place . The Court has also said that no more new petetioners would join in this case and no third party would interfere in this case.
