Jaitley slams Rahul on Rafale deal

New Delhi Feb 9: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has replied to the discussion the budget and has slammed Congress on the allegations they have raised about corruption in Rafale Deal.

FM has said that "Your party was stigmatised when you were in government because of the allegation of corruption. Now the new act is, let us manufacture an allegation of corruption against the NDA. So when you couldn't find anything, you said please disclose the price of the Rafale deal."

He has also added that "I charge the Congress of seriously compromising India’s security…Mr. Modi has run a clean government for last 4 years, so let us manufacture a crisis, let us manufacture an issue.And the manufactured issue is, please tell me the details of the Rafale deal."

FM has said that "The prices of weapons and arms purchase wouldn't be disclosed to the public as it would compromise security interests of the nation and has quoted previous UPA defense ministers Pranab Mukherjee and Ak Antony who have not divulged the sensitive details as it pertained to national interests".

FInally, he said that " Congress president should go to Mukherjee and get lessons on national security." Earlier Congress president Rahul Gandhi had urged Modi to disclose the deals of rafale deal in which govt decided to buy 36 fighter jets.
