RS 4500 CR allocated for Polavaram Project

New Delhi Feb 9: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has replied to the discussion the budget and has also spoken about the Andhra Pradesh.

The Finance minister has replied that "We sympathize with the people of Ap". FM has added that "we have already announced a special package and it involves various aspects and one such is the creation of various institutions".


Jaitley has said that "we have created various institutions funds have been allocated and some more funds would be allocated when the institutions would be set up ." he added that "Funds have been allocated for the development of capital city Amravathi and special aid has been given to backward districts of AP".

FM has also said that "RS 4500 cr has been allocated for Polavaram project from Nabard and more funds would be allocated in near future". Finally, he said that "Discussions are being going on with respect to EAP projects and soon funds would be allocated in this regard.

However TDP MPS were unsatisfied in this regard and they continued to protest in the house.
