3 killed after car rammed to lorry

Adilabad, Feb 08: Here is a tragic incident has occurred while three persons including a 7-year-old boy were killed on the spot and two others sustained injuries when a car in which they were traveling rammed into a lorry on Hyderabad-Nagpur National Highway near Seethagondi village in Gudihathnoor Mandal in Adilabad district on Tuesday midnight.

The deceased were identified as Sayyad Ahmed (42), his son Umar (7), and car driver Ahmad Bin Talib (25). The injured were Ahmed's wife Farah and daughter Mahendiya. They belonged to Teachers’ Colony of Adilabad town. Ahmed is a vegetable vendor.

Ahmed, Umar and Talib were seriously injured when the car rammed the truck which was parked on the highway, causing instantaneous death for them at around 11 pm. His wife and five-year-old daughter sustained injuries. Their condition is said to be stable.

Rash and speed driving is suspected to be the cause of the mishap. Farah was shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences-Adilabad, while Mehendiya was rushed to a hospital in Nizamabad.

Following a complaint, a case was registered against the driver of the truck. The investigation is on.
