MS Dhoni first Indian wicketkeeper to effect 400 dismissals

Capetown, Feb 08: Former Indian Captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap as he became the first Indian wicket-keeper to effect 400 dismissals in ODIs, during the third match between South Africa and India at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

Former Sri Lanka captain Sangakkara led the chart with 482 dismissals from 404 matches

In September last year, Dhoni also became the first wicketkeeper to effect 100 stumpings in ODI

Dhoni effected the stumping off South Africa's stand-in-skipper Aiden Markram and the right-hander became his 400th dismissal in the 50-over format of the game. Overall, Dhoni is only the fourth wicket-keeper to do so as he is only behind the likes of Kumar Sangakkara, Adam Gilchrist and Mark Boucher in this illustrious list.
