Fire erupts in metro works at Hitech City

Hyderabad, Feb 06: In a ghastly incident, A fire broke out at the Hitech City station of the Hyderabad Metro Rail on Tuesday. A video from the spot showed flames coming out of one of the rooms.

Hitech City is the third station on the elevated east-west corridor of Hyderabad metro which was launched in November last year.

Clarifying that some sparks caused a small fire after wielding work was carried out on Monday evening, the Hyderabad Metro authorities informed that the fire was immediately controlled and extinguished.

The authorities have even instructed the L&T to take stringent safety measures to prevent such accidents in future.
