Army 50 Rashtriya Rifles camp attacked by militants

Srinagar, Feb 06: Army's 50 Rashtriya Rifles camp in south Kashmir's Pulwama district was attacked by militants on Monday with grenades. No casulaities or damage was reported in this incident.

SP Pani, the deputy inspector of South Kashmir said that a hunt was launched for the militants who ran away after throwing greandes at the camp.

According to a Kashmiri news agency, the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant organisation claimed responsibility for the attack.

"Two RPG rockets were fired and they hit the target," the agency quoted JeM spokesman Hassan Shah as saying.

"The module has confessed to having carried out grenade attacks in Pampore and Awantipora areas of Pulwama district" said a police officer.
