TJAC to constitute a new Political Party

Hyderabad, Feb 05: All is set for the formation of a new political party in the country's youngest state--Telangana.

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC), which played a key role during the agitation for the realization of separate Telangana decided to form a political party to espouse the people's woes at its meeting by TJAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram, here on Sunday.

The extended meeting of the T-JAC discussed the problems being faced by the farmers and rural people in the state.

Prof Kodandaram said that the continuing suicides of distressed farmers would end if the government assured them to extend help and solve their problems. He said that the government should compensate the farmers in case of crops loss.

The government should also take action against the firms which supplied spurious seeds and fertilizers to farmers.
