Vice President urges NGOs should come forward to provide services to people

Vijayawada, Feb 05: The Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu has participated at the second anniversary of the Swarna Bharat Trust, Vijayawada chapter, being run by his daughter, along with other people, at Aatkuru near here on Sunday.

He said the voluntary organizations should come forward to provide services to people and regretted that India is yet to eradicate socio-economic disparity.

The Vice-President said the Swarna Bharat Trust was established at Venkatachalam in Nellore district. In Vijayawada chapter of the trust was established near Vijayawada in 2016.

The Swarna Bharat Trust was established to provide skill development, impart vocational training and other needed help to women, youth and farmers, he highlighted.

The Swarna Bharath Trust is serving people irrespective of politic affiliations.He wished that such trusts would be established by various NGOs to serve people.

Speaking on the occasion, Assembly Speaker Kodela Shiva Prasad Rao said despite Mr. Naidu reaching the top position, he is still concentrating on serving people and lauded the services of Swarna Bharat Trust.

Supreme Court Judge Lao Nageswara Rao Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas, popular Telugu film actor D Venkatesh also spoke.
