Construction sector gets a boost

New Delhi Feb 3: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday has presented the budget and the government has also focused on Real estate sector and construction sector.

Infrastructure: The Government has given impetus o construction sector by allocating huge funds for infrastructure development such as construction of new airports, roads, railways, hospitals

The Government has also focused on more rural India and announced 2 crore new toilets would be constructed in next one year.

FM had also announced sops for Affordable Housing scheme and allocated huge funds for Pradhan Mantri Awas yojana -Both Rural and Urban Areas.

Jaitley had also said that " Smart Cities Mission aims at building 100 Smart Cities with state-of-the-art amenities. I am happy to inform that 99 Cities have been selected with an outlay of `2.04 lakh crore. These Cities have started implementing various projects like Smart Command and Control Centre, Smart Roads, Solar Rooftops, Intelligent Transport Systems, Smart Parks. Projects worth RS 2350 crore have been completed and works of RS 20,852 crore are under progress."
