Road Map for job creation announced

New Delhi Feb 2: Finance minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday has presented the budget.The FM has announced various measures for Job creation. The measures are

tax benefits for MSME
# The government has announced a reduction in corporate tax to 25 % for companies have a target of Rs 250 Cr.

Enhancement of Infrastructure: The Government has increased the allocation for Rural Infrastructure and increase in allocation of Railways, Airways, tourism, Road construction,

Agricultural push: The Government had also announced many measures to boost farm income and improve connectivity and also upgrading of rural market and other schemes

Extension of special package for Textile and Apparel sector : FM has said that "The government had approved a comprehensive textile sector package of Rs.6,000 crore in 2016 to boost the apparel and made-up segments. I now propose to provide an outlay of Rs.7,148 crore for the textile sector in 2018-19".

EPF Sops
Jaitley has also announced " a reduction in the contribution that new women workers make to the employee's provident fund, from 12% to 8%, to promote women’s participation in the labor force as well as increase their take-home pay."

The government will now "contribute 12% of the wages of new employees to the EPFO for all sectors for the next three years" FM added.

The Government has also increased allocations for Mudra Yojana.
