Rajasthan bypoll results : Congress ahead in Ajmer, Alwar

Rajasthan, Feb 01: The counting of votes for the Rajasthan bypolls that were held on Monday in two Lok Sabha and one assembly constituencies, began at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

The counting of votes of the Alwar and Ajmer Lok Sabha seats is being done in the respective constituencies, whereas it will take place in Bhilwara for the Mandalgarh assembly seat, and the election results will be declared on the Election Commission website.

In Alwar, Jaswant Singh Yadav of BJP faced Karan Singh Yadav of the Congress, while Raghu Sharma of Congress contested BJP's Ram Swaroop Lamba in Ajmer.

Congress candidate Raghu Sharma leading by 13,500 votes at the end of fourth round of counting in Ajmer.

Trinamool leads in Ulberia Lok Sabha by-election with 40,829 votes, BJP at 17,625 and CPI(M) at 8,576 votes.
