TRS Supports Simultaneous elections of Assembly and Loksabha

Hyderabad Jan 31: The Ruling party in Telangana Telangana Rashtriya Samithi TRS has Supported the BJP Government on the issue of Simultaneous elections.Telangana Rashtra Samiti floor leader in the Lok Sabha, A P Jithender Reddy, said that "such a synchronized exercise will cut costs, save time and ensure governments focus on development.We are for it".

He added that "It will give us time to focus on administration for five years, instead of every time going to elections. It will save money and time; you can focus yourself on the development of the state."

Earlier the president Ramnath Kovind in his address to both houses of the parliament has urged all parties to think about simultaneous elections so that better administration can take place.

Earlier PM Narendra Modi had also pitched the idea for simultaneous elections and said that election would help for better governance.
