AP VUDA officer arrested for possessing illegal assets,Rs.60 Cr seized

Visakhapatnam, Jan 31: As we Know that ACB sleuths have conducted raids on VUDA Additional Chief Urban Planner P. Pradeep Kumar, an accused in the disproportionate assets case, was produced before the ACB Special Court on Tuesday and sent to remand till February 13.

Pasuparthi Pradeep Kumar had joined the VUDA as building inspector in 1984 with a monthly salary of Rs 1,300.

He told the officials that he is drawing a salary of Rs 1 lakh per month. however, his assets are said to be worth Rs 60 crore.

The ACB conducted simultaneous raids at 12 places in Visakhapatnam, and Ongole, Anantapur, and Hyderabad, and unearthed assets valued at Rs.4 crore, the market value of which was put at Rs.40 crore.

According to the ACB, the raids will continue after the wife of the accused returns from Singapore.
