Hyderabad, Jan 31: The Nizamabad MP K Kavitha has urged the State government on Tuesday to strengthen medical infrastructure in the Nizamabad district.
She submitted a memorandum to State Medical and Health Minister C Laxma Reddy and requested to increase the bed capacity in Nizamabad district hospital to 700 from the present 500 beds.
Demands for the establishment of a medical college in Jagityal, the establishment of a 100-bed capacity hospital in Korutla and wellness center in the identified towns were also included in a meeting held by the Minister with Kavitha at the Secretariat.
Kavitha also requested the Minister to acquire land and complete the construction of the sanctioned maternity hospital in Jagityal.
