PM Modi pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his Death Anniversary

NewDelhi Jan 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday had paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his 70th death anniversary and has recalled the sacrifices made by martyrs who laid down their lives for the country.

PM had visited Rajghat and had paid his homage and has mourned his death by observing silence on the occasion of his death anniversary.Later PM had tweeted that "Remembering Bapu on his Punya Tithi".He had also said that "We bow to all those martyrs who have sacrificed themselves in service of our nation. We will always remember their courage as well as the dedication towards the nation".

Meanwhile, many leaders have also paid homage to the leader and prayers were sung to mark the death anniversary of the leader. Mahatma Gandhi the father of the nation is the leader who led the independence movement and has fought for freedom against Britishers.Gandhi was shot dead on 30 Jan 1948.
