Minister Kadiyam urges officials to focus on Sanitation at Medaram Jatara

Medaram, Jan 29: The Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Sunday directed the officials to pay special focus on maintaining proper sanitation at Medaram during Sammakka Saralamma Jatara.

He along with a host of TRS legislators, leaders and his family members visited Medaram and offered prayers to the tribal deities. Later, he interacted with the officials and reviewed the arrangements made for the conduct of the Jatara.

Srihari, accompanied by Bhupalpally in-charge District Collector RV Karnan, Joint Collector D Amoy Kumar, walking around the village visited bathing ghats at Jampanna stream and inspected the arrangements there.

He said ensuring sanitation should be the priority during the Jatara while interacting with the sanitation workers. The Deputy Chief Minister also interacted with the devotees at bathing ghats and Kalyanakatta to seeking their feedback on the arrangements at the village.

Speaking to presspersons on the occasion, Srihari said that he would be camping at Medaram during the night and would hold a review meeting with the District Officials regarding the measures to be taken for the smooth conduct of the Jatara.
