AIADMK party cracks whip on TTV Dinakaran Supporters

Chennai Jan 29: AIADMK party on Monday has continued its crackdown on leaders who are disrespectful for the party and who have shown loyalty to TTV Dinakaran's faction.

The top leaders of the party O Pannerselvam and Chief Minister E Palani Swamy have announced that "we have expelled117 members belonging to the party's Sivaganga district and its subunits, including two former MLAs, KK Umadevan and Cholan CT Palanichamy."

Panneerselvam, AIADMK coordinator, and Palaniswami, its co-coordinator in a joint statement said that "The members were being expelled from AIADMK as they went against party principles and brought disrepute and urged party workers not to have any truck with those expelled."

Earlier the two leaders on Saturday have sacked 144 office-bearers of Tuticorin district.

Sources said that the government had taken these steps to ensure that key members of the party remain loyal to them and do not align with TTV Dinakaran.
