Economic Survey: GST,Action on TBS major acheivements

New Delhi Jan 29: The government has today tabled the economic survey in parliament ahead of the budget session and the Cheif Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanyam has addressed the media regarding the survey.CEA had listed some of the major achievements that the government had undertaken in past one year. The major achievements are

Launch of GST: The government has launched GST on 1st July and it had subsumed various indirect taxes and the government from time to time had taken steps to improve the new taxation system.

Resolution of Bank loans: The government had taken some crucial steps to tackle the twin balance sheet problem and has announced recapitalization of banks with Rs 2.11 Cr and also amended
Banking Act so that Companies undergo insolvency proceedings under IBC act and the steps are in right direction.

The Survey had also highlighted other achievements.
