GHMC plans 2 new flyovers in old city

Hyderabad Jan 29: In a move to ensure traffic is decongested in Hyderabad City GHMC is planning to construct 2 more flyovers in the city. The flyovers would be constructed in the old city -one from Aramgarh to Zoo Park and second from Nalgonda crossroads to Owaisi junction.

Officials added that The two flyovers are to be taken up under Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP). The flyover at Nalgonda Crossroads would be a 4 lane and will cover a distance of about five km.The estimated cost of the project is Rs 523 crore.

The flyover at zoo park would be six-lane and the estimated cost of construction of the project is RS 636 crore km.Officials have earlier planned for extension of the roads but it was not feasible because of many religious constructions and graveyards in the stretch.
