Happy 69th Republic Day; PM Modi at parade ground Delhi

India celebrates its 69th Republic Day today. The country, on Friday, will roll out the red carpet for heads of 10 Asian countries who will witness India display its military might and cultural diversity during the parade. Keeping the contingent of chief guests in mind, the VIP stand on Rajpath has been broadened to accommodate the 10 heads of state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive at the Parade ground in Delhi at around 9.25 AM and President Ram Nath Kovind is expected to reach around 9.55 AM. The Republic Day parade will begin at 10 AM on Friday.
The 10 heads of state include, Myanmar state counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, Malyasian PM Najib Razak, Thailand PM Prayut Chan-o-cha, Vietnamese PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, Cambodian PM Hun Sen, Laos PM Thongloun Sisoulith and Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah.
