Republic day is celebrated every year in India on January 26. This day is of utmost importance in Indian history as it observes the enforcement of Indian constitution. On this day in the year 1950, the constitution of India came into effect and India became sovereign, democratic and republic nation.
This year India will celebrate 69 years of being a republic nation. Indians celebrate the national holiday with great zeal, vigor and respect. The rich culture, diversity, and heritage of the nation are celebrated on this day. On this day people also pay homage freedom fighters who brought the priceless gift of independence.
