Hardik Patel opposes padmavat movie,writes letter to Gujarat CM

Gujarat Jan 23: The demand of banning the film Padmavat is growing these days as the release date has approached near.On Monday Patidar leader Hardik Patel in Gujarat had opposed the release of the film.

Hardik Patel has written a letter to Gujarat CM.The leader n his letter has said that"there is a strong opposition to the film 'Padmavat', which has aroused the feelings of Rajput society and Hindu society in Gujarat."

He added that " history has been tampered with in the film, it is my responsibility and I do not want to make fun of our glorious history. Maharani Padmavati committed sati for the respect of her own state and women. I request you that Padmavat not be allowed to be released in Gujarat while keeping the law and order in mind."

The letter written by Hardik Patel has surprised everyone as he supported Congress and the party has not opposed the movie and many thought he would support the film".

Padmavat is a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. The film is expected to release on Jan 25.
