Bihar CM gets Z plus Security

Bihar, Jan 20: The Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) has upgraded Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s security to Z plus category.However, the decision was taken recently after a threat perception analysis by the central security agencies.
With the ministry's decision which came at a personal security review meeting held recently, Kumar'' security shield will be upgraded from 'Z', a home ministry insider told media. The Bihar chief minister already has an additional layer of gun-totting state police commandos for his protection.
A home ministry communication said Kumar will be accorded Z-plus security. It is also not clear whether the security will be given to Kumar at all India-level or only in Bihar. Nitish is a state protectee and as per norms, he is provided security by state security forces.
