Boat Carrying 40 Students Capsizes In Maharashtra

Mumbai, Jan 13: In Massive Incident, A boat with 40 school children on board on Saturday capsized near Maharashtra's Dahanu.

The incident took place around 11.30 this morning. According to the local police, 32 children have been rescued so far and the remaining children are still missing. According to eye witnesses, the boat was overcrowded and the students were not wearing life jackets.



"We have recovered two bodies and rescued 32 students. The search operation is on for the others," Manjunath Singe, SP Palghar told media..

The bodies of Sonal Bhagwan Surati and Janhavi Harish Surati, both residents of Masauli in Dahanu's Ambedkar Nagar area, were recovered, Police said.
