Virat Kohli about Rahane and Rohit

Mumbai, Jan 13: Indian Skipper Virat Kohli has hinted that batsman Ajinkya Rahane might be included in India's squad for the second Test against South Africa, starting Today.

Kohli took a dig at critics questioning Rahane's exclusion in the first Test against South Africa, stating that those who wanted his deputy's omission are now clamouring for his comeback.



Kohli has defended the selection of Rohit Sharma in the first Test, saying he was picked ahead of Ajinkya Rahane on current form.

"Well, we decided to go on current form. Rohit has scored runs in the last three Test matches that he has played, and he was batting well, even in the series against Sri Lanka," said Kohli in the post-match media conference.

"He (Rahane) is a quality player. He has done well in South Africa, in all conditions actually away from home. He is probably been our most consistent and solid player away from home," the skipper said.
