Hyderabad to host World Congress IT

Hyderabad Jan 12: Telangana Capital Hyderabad will host another international conference as the global city has successfully hosted Global Entrepreneurship Summit and World Telugu Conference.Sources said that major global IT event called the World Congress IT (WCIT) would be hosted in India for the first time.

Many delegates such as thought-leaders, thinkers, government leaders and social leaders would attend the event to share their perception on the change surrounding the sector and in turn help us understand, prepare and adapt for the changes.

Telangana IT Minister KTR has said that "The hosting of World Congress IT presents a unique opportunity for India and delighted that Hyderabad has been chosen as the host city. This comes close on the heels of the very successful GES and will put Hyderabad on the world map once again".

The event being held from February 19 to 21 is expected to have 2,500 delegates from 30 countries.

R Chandrashekhar, president, Nasscom has said that "WCIT will be a comprehensive package that will leave no technology untouched as it is the Olympics of IT. Apart from the sessions, the Congress will also create focus mini-forums on AI, open innovation, new tech forums and design forums. We have also shortlisted 60 innovative companies from India to display their technology to the visiting delegates. They can also have a touch and feel of the emerging technologies in the IT space."
