CWC hails progress of Kaleshwaram project

Hyderabad Jan 11: Central Water Commission officials have visited the Kaleshwaram irrigation project which was taken by Telangana State Government and have hailed the project.

The CWC has called the project an unique on several counts. The techno-economic appraisal committee led by CKL Das, Chief Engineer of the Project Appraisal organization (PAO) of the CWC has expressed satisfaction over the pace at which the key components of the project were being implemented by the State Government.

The four-member team which reviewed the planning and designing of structures and other features of the project said that the" project was simply unique in terms of the number of structures, vision involved, benefits envisaged, and the scale of works."

However, members have said that "We should put in more efforts to ensure its completion in a time-bound manner. "

Finally, the government hopes that the report submitted by the committee would enable the central government to declare funds so that project completes as per schedule.
