YS Jagan claims, Aarogya scheme being neglected by TDP Govt

Chittoor, Jan 10: The Andhra Pradesh opposition YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Aarogyasri scheme is being neglected under the Chandrababu Naidu government and added that the scheme will be revitalized effectively once the party comes to power in 2019.

Addressing a large gathering as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Tuesday he said,"Walking in the footsteps of YSR, I assure you that Aarogyasri would be put back on the track by providing quality health care to the needy, as this is one of the two major reasons besides education that pushes people into debts."

"All surgeries above Rs 1,000 would be covered under Aarogyasri and the facility would be extended to treatment taken at major cities like Hyderabad, Chennai or Bengaluru and pension would be given during the recovery period. This apart, people with chronic ailments would be given a pension of Rs 10,000", he said.

Medicare has been totally neglected by the Naidu government. The 108 ambulance service has become dysfunctional as the staff is not being paid salaries, he said.

Naidu has always looked after personal interests than the interests of people and that was how Vijaya Dairy was destroyed to benefit his family run Heritage Foods, he said.
