Government extends GSTR-1 filing date

NewDelhi Jan 10: The Government on Wednesday has extended the deadline to file GSTR-1 for the period July-November till January 15, 2018. The earlier deadline was January 10, 2018. sources said that "this is applicable for a registered person having an aggregate turnover of more than Rs 1.5 crore in the preceding financial year or the current financial year."

Officials have added that "the detail of outward supplies under GSTR-1 for December has been extended till March 10. Earlier the deadline to file GSTR-1 for the month of December was February 10, 2018. For subsequent months, the filing of GSTR-1 would be the 10th day of the succeeding month."

However, there has been no extension in the filing of GSTR-1 for January, which will also have to be done by March 10, 2018. For subsequent months, it would be the 10th day of the succeeding month.
