India to Ink pact with UK

London Jan 10: India may Soon Sign a pact with the United Kingdom which ensures the return of illegal Indian migrants within a month of their being detected by authorities. Earlier UK had raised an issue of illegal migrants entering the UK and India has accepted the request.

The Signing of MOU assumes significance because Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit UK in March.

British Prime Minister Theresa May during her visit to India in 2016 has said that"the U.K. would consider an improved visa deal, if, at the same time, we can step up the speed and volume of returns of Indians with no right to remain in the U.K."

Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju will visit UK and is expected to sign a pact and would also make sure that Indian Businessman Vijay Mallya would be deported to India.
