Powerful Earthquake in Caribbean Sea

Mexico Jan 10: A Powerful earthquake stuck in the Caribbean Sea between the coast of Honduras and the Cayman Islands on Tuesday night. However, no damage was detected.
Sources said that tremors were felt in areas such as Puerto Rico, other Caribbean islands and the coast of Central America. The officials have advised the people to be alert of the possible Tsunami.
The magnitude of the earthquake was detected as 7.6 on Richter scale.The US Geological Survey has said that "The tremor struck in the sea about 125 miles (202 kilometers) north-northeast of Barra Patuca, Honduras, and 188 miles (303 kilometers) southwest of George Town, Cayman Islands. The tremor occurred about 6 miles (10 kilometers) below the surface."
