Minor girl allegedly raped by her friend's father

Vijayawada, Jan 09: In a gruesome incident, a 14-year-old minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her friend's father in Machilipatnam. The incident came to light on Sunday night when the girl told her parents that her friend's father, a 36-year-old cook had raped her.

The incident occurred under the police station limits of Inukuduru PETA in the district headquarters. According to the police, the accused, Vemula Paparao, a resident of Rajupeta, had committed the heinous crime when the victim came to his house to meet her friend.

Paparao had shown some porn videos to the girl and raped her several times. The parents had noticed some change in the behavior of the girl and questioned her. The victim informed the parents about the heinous act. The parents immediately lodged a complaint to Inukuduru police on Sunday night.

The Investigation Officer said that the victim was being questioned to elicit details. He said that the girl was under the protection of women and child welfare department and a medical examination was conducted on her at the government hospital.
