IT Minister KTR laid foundation stone for Rs.25 crore IT Towers

Karimnagar, Jan 09: The Telangana Minister for Information Technology K Taraka Rama Rao has laid foundation stone for the Rs 25 crore IT Towers near Ujwala Park here on Monday

He said that The Telangana State which made rapid strides in the IT industry had increased its IT exports to Rs 87,000 crore from Rs 56,000 crore, besides providing direct employment to more than one lakh people since 2014.

"It's a good sign that on the first day of IT Tower foundation itself, the gates of employment opened for at least 1,000 youth.In addition to the upcoming IT Tower, the government also has plans to establish another IT Tower and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) center in Karimnagar. This would augur well for the rural youth pursuing information technology and engineering streams in the region," KTR said.



The spread of IT industry to districts will open up horizons for the rural students to compete with the best in the field beside providing an opportunity for them to come up with start-ups, he said.

Later, the Minister K Taraka Rama Rao launched the works of a pylon of the Rs 250 crore Karimnagar City Renovation Project near One Town police station and Citizen Service Centre at Municipal Corporation office.
