Committee: Not right time to dis-invest or privatize Air India

New Delhi, Jan 08: The parliamentary committee has concluded that Air India government must not evaluate the functioning of Air India solely from the business point of view as the airline has helped at times of need like calamities, social or political unrest in India or abroad.

The committee will suggest the government to review its decision and atleast give five years to Air India to revive itself.

According to the committee, this is not the right time to disinvest or privatize the airline.
