3 AAP candidates elected for Rajyasabha

New Delhi Jan 8: Three candidates from Aam Admi Party have been elected to the Rajya Sabha unopposed.AAP party has won 67 out of 70 seats in Assembly elections and this paved the way for selecting 3 candidates to the upper house.
Members Sanjay Singh, Sushil Gupta and ND Gupta were elected to the upper house unopposed. The three got 'Certificate of Election' confirming their election to the Upper House by Returning Officer Nidhi Srivastava.Sushil Gupta is a Delhi-based businessman and N D Gupta a chartered accountant.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that "Sushil Gupta has made big contributions in the education and health sectors in Delhi and Haryana. He provides free education to 15,000 children. Narayan Das Gupta is the former president of the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountant of India)".
