Hafiz Saeed sends 100 million defamation notice to defence minister

Islamabad, Jan 06: Hafiz Saeed has sent Rs 100 million defamation notice to Pakistan's defence minister Khurram Dastgir. Pakistani government has slammed Hafiz's political party as fund raiser and supporter of terrorism.

Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) was banned from collecting any donation to prevent funding terrorism. The Pakistani government has even requested court, not issue clearance to JUD.

US President Donald Trump's again and again slammed Islamabad's for sheltering terrorists after JUD was launched by Hafiz Saeed, who has a bounty of $10 million on him by US.

"I call upon you (minister Khurram Dastgir) to send a written apology to my client (Saeed) within 14 days and seek his forgiveness and promise to be careful in future, failing which criminal proceedings under section 500 of Pakistan Penal Code punishable for two years will initiated against you," said the notice by lawyer AK Dogar who served it on behalf of Mumbai attack mastermind Saeed.
