Child has been rescued alive from under snow; Cab swept with 6

North Kashmir, Jan 05: An avalanche, in North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday swept a cab with atleast 6 people as they were travelling in Sadhna Top of Tangdhar. Emergency relief teams have been rushed to the spot and rescue operations are underway.

According to reports, a child has been rescued alive from under the snow.

"Yes we too received an information of the accident and we rushed a team of police for the rescue, the area is very far flung and not reachable, and it is snowing in the area so we cannot confirm any killing yet. Our team has reached the area and they have started rescue with the help of local people," Kashmir Reader quoted SSP Kupwara Shamshar Hussain, as saying.
