Ghazal Srinivas's Bail petition rejected by Nampally Court

Hyderabad, Jan 05:As we knew that, The Police have arrested a singer Ghazal Srinivas on charges of sexual harassment and he also filed a petition to get bail.

The Nampally Court rejected the bail petition of singer Ghazal Srinivas. The Court rejected the singer's bail petition agreeing with the Prosecution's argument that the accused could influence witnesses.

It may be recalled that Ghazal Srinivas was arrested by the Punjagutta police in a case of sexual harassment and a case under sections 354, 354(A) and 509 has been registered against him. The Court had earlier on Thursday rejected the police's plea for custody of the singer.

The Court today took up the singer's bail plea stating that a case had wrongfully been registered against him. The judge expressed the court's displeasure over the police sending CDs for forensic examination to FSL without due permission from the court.

The court also pulled up the police over its submission that the second accused in the case, Parvathi was on the run. Meanwhile, Ghazal Srinivas is in judicial custody in Chanchalguda prison.
