Telangana Govt directs to schools, No hike in fees

Hyderabad, Jan 05: The Telangana education department issued a clarification that schools won't be allowed to hike the fees for the ensuing academic year 2018-19.

The government has directed the schools to "maintain status quo" and continue with the fees charged for the 2017-18 academic year till a decision is made on implementation of the recommendations of the Prof Tirupati Rao committee report.



Just days after the committee submitted its report, the admission process in all schools began with circulars being issued detailing an enhanced fee structure.

Following this, the Hyderabad Schools Parents Association (HSPA) expressed the concerns regarding the fee structure to special chief secretary Ranjeev R Acharya and minister KT Rama Rao.
