Woman commits Suicide, after harassed by stranger

Hyderabad, Jan 02: Here is drastic incident has occurred while a 32-year-old housewife, who was harassed by an unidentified person, committed suicide in Jagathgirigutta here on Monday.

The information reported that, The deceased victim identified as Poranki Sri Charani recorded a selfie video on her mobile and stated that one Rajkumar Perumandla has been harassing her.

According to the police, Sricharani, hailing from Nehru Nagar under the Jagathgirigutta police station limit, was married to Lakshminarayana from Krishna district in AP, a few years ago. The couple was living in Krishna district. On Friday, she came to her maternal home.

In the evening, she closed the room and began talking on the phone. When she did not come out after a long time, her son knocked on the door.

Later, the door was broke open by the family members and found her hanging from the ceiling. She was declared brought dead by the doctors in a nearby hospital.

The police found a selfie video, which she had recorded before hanging herself. In the video, Sricharani said that one Rajkumar has been harassing her for a long time. She also said that she had cheated her husband.

"None of the family members know who is Rajkumar and the reasons for harassing. We suspect the person could be from Vijayawada," said Mr P. Srinivas, inspector Jagathgirigutta.
