Sonia Gandhi riding cycle, holidaying in Goa; Ritesh posts pics

Goa, Dec 28: After retiring from the post of Congress president and handing over responsibilities to Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi has left for a vaction in Goa.

Pictures of Sonia Gandhi riding cycle was shared on twitter by Riteish Deshmukh.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted a picture of a relaxed Sonia Gandhi, riding a cycle and smiling for photos. Riteish's father, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh, was a senior Congress leader and a former chief minister of Maharashtra.

Media reports say that Gandhi is staying at the Leela hotel in south Goa.

Sonia, 71, became the Congress party president in 1998 and has lead India’s grand old party for 19 years, making her the longest serving party president.

Rahul Gandhi was appointed as the president of Congress just days befor Gujarat polls He was elected to the post without any opposition.
