TTV Dinakaran leads in RK Nagar Bypoll

Chennai Dec 24: The counting of RK Nagar By poll is underway and independent candidate TTV Dinakaran is leading by 20,000 votes.Earlier the counting was halted as there was some fight between AIADMK leader and TTV faction,

The by-poll to the election was held on Dec 21. The election was held at the seat got vacant after the death of former chief minister J Jayalalitha.The poll was supposed to be held on Apr 12 but was canceled as the EC had noticed that former AIADMK candidate TTV Dinakaran bribed the election commission for two leaves symbol.

The leads are as follows

TTV Dinakaran (Independent): 20,298
E Madhusudhanan (AIADMK): 9,672
N Maruthu Ganesh (DMK): 5,091
Others: 2,229

Earlier the EC had rejected the nominations of independent candidates of Actor Vishal and Deepa the niece of former CM.
