Subramanyam Swamy : PM Must set up council to fight corruption

New Delhi Dec 21: BJP leader and Rajyasabha MP Subramanyam Swamy had responded on the 2G spectrum Verdict by Special CBI Court. The Supreme Court had ordered a probe into the investigation of the scam after he filed a petition in supreme court.

The SC had also canceled 122 licenses in the spectrum case allocation based on his petition filed after a CAG in its reports stated that the spectrum allocation policy may have resulted in a loss of Rs 1.76 L Cr to the government.

Earlier on Thursday the CBI Court had acquited A Raja, DMK MP kanimozhi and 15 others in the case and said that the prosecution failed to prove them guilty.

Responding to the verdict BJP leader Swamy has said that "The government should appeal in the high court against the acquittal of all the accused."

Later he had also said that PM must take up fighting corruption on a war footing and honest officers must be included in the team.

He had also said that this is not a setback because and hoped that the high court would set aside the judgment pronounced by the court.
