Kumble Praises Kohli

Bengaluru, December 19: Anil Kumble, one of biggest match-winners this country has ever produced, was named as the 'coach of the year' by the Annual Sports Writers’ Association of Bangalore (SWAB) at Taj Vivanta in their award function in Bengaluru.

Former India coach Anil Kumble has tipped the Indian team to win the series in South Africa, starting January 5.

Though none of the previous teams has managed to achieve the feat, Kumble is confident of an India win.

Kumble said, "I'm confident that the team which we have will certainly go on to create history in South Africa and then beyond. That’s the confidence I have."

He remained bygones for Kumble, as he praised Kohli for the good work the team has done under his leadership.

"I'm sure the team under Virat certainly has the capabilities to achieve that and continue all the good work they have been doing," Kumble said.
