Price of wholesale reaches eight month high

New Delhi Dec 14: With increasing prices and economic crunches the wholesale market has also been affected badly. On Thursday, the government data showed that the inflation of wholesale food price rose to an eight-month high in November.

Annual wholesale price inflation last month increased to 3.93% from a year earlier, from a provisional 3.59% rise in October.

The rise compares with a 3.78% increase forecast by economists in a Reuters poll.

Wholesale food prices in November rose 4.10% year-on-year, compared with a 3.23% rise a month earlier, the data showed.
